IANA COMMENDS WHITE HOUSE ENGAGEMENT IN FREIGHT SUPPLY CHAIN BOTTLENECKS
CALVERTON, MD, October 15, 2021 – The Intermodal Association of North America is grateful for the leadership that the White House has taken in identifying supply chain bottlenecks. Overcoming the many challenges to moving today’s freight will require collaboration across modes and stakeholders, and the Administration has effectively brought some of the major players to the table.
“Intermodal is a team sport and IANA’s members are actively engaged in addressing the issues that are impacting the delivery of unprecedented volumes of cargo flowing through the supply chain,” said Dr. Noel Hacegaba, chairman of IANA’s Board of Directors and deputy executive director of the Port of Long Beach. “The Association will continue to work with the Administration and all intermodal stakeholders to develop solutions that return fluidity to the freight network.”
